Short posts. Longer than a tweet.

Carlo

Carl: I’ve reported this to Carlo since it seems like the Webex recorder is connected. but… not… recording.

Alison: I think it’s hilarious that the person you report to is your name plus an O like it is your alter ego

Carl: YES! LOL

Alison: like when I have a problem that needs more help I’d just be like oh let me take that up with Alisono and just put on sunglasses and start working on it.

Carl:

My fingers know my password

What I realized is that — probably for many years — I didn’t actually know my password. I couldn’t have told you what it is. I just relied on my fingers to know it. And since it always worked, I never thought to question it.

— Brent Simmons

I’ve had this exact problem. I never knew what was my password once the last time I changed it for a computer. I knew the pattern my fingers typed. But I couldn’t have told you what it was. It’s a scary feeling and I’ve since taken steps to make sure it never happens again.

Operational!

We are having some Webex issues today and I went to the status site to see if anything was reported. I pulled up status.webex.com and I am greeted by this guy.

Picture of a man in a green shirt behind a laptop with a green check above his open hand and the text Al Systems are Go! Webex is running smoothly with no issues.
Webex status man.

Now where have I seen this before…?

Bear in Sandals

I am so happy this statue exists.

It’s so joyful and fun. The bear sits overlooking Lake Needwood. The park where he lives is my favorite place to walk. It’s about 2.5 miles around the lake. It usually takes me about 90 minutes to complete the loop when armed with my camera or Pokemon Go.
