I\u2019d just read one of those ubiquitous Internet lists called \u201c21 Things You Didn\u2019t Know Your iPhone Could Do.\u201d One of them was this: I could ask Siri, \u201cWhat planes are above me right now?\u201d and Siri would bark back, \u201cChecking my sources.\u201d Almost instantly there was a list of actual flights \u2014 numbers, altitudes, angles \u2014 above my head.<\/p>\n<p>  I happened to be doing this when Gus was nearby. \u201cWhy would anyone need to know what planes are flying above your head?\u201d I muttered. It&#8217;s so great to see technology making someone&#8217;s life better. It&#8217;s the promise technology often fails to live up to.
